Best free CV templates: Microsoft Word – Tutorial

Are you struggling to update your CV? Do you need help to construct an impressive-looking CV so that it stands out more in a crowded job market?

I know how you feel. It can be a daunting and time-consuming task and I’ve always found it hard to get started when trying to upgrade my CV to the next level. I would spend ages playing around with the formatting to make it look just right, to the point where I’d inevitably give up and leave it unfinished until trying again a few months later. As you can imagine, I didn’t get very far. Finally, I decided I would use a CV template and I was surprised to discover that there are a lot of free and customisable tools out there.

I’ll be posting some of my recommendations to find the best free templates so that you can create strong, focused and well-structured CVs that can land you an interview for your perfect role.

First up is Microsoft Word – An oldie but a goodie, you can choose from dozens of different templates – contemporary, academic, traditional, design-centric and they are free to download. Here’s a quick video tutorial on how to use these templates:
